Victorino's Angel of Thunder is belly littermates to Both Victorino's Ku 'u Ipo Lani and Victorino's Rebel Jo.
Angel has shown in ADBA and has her ACE title and has won against some outstanding and well known pull dogs.
Angel is an awesome family dog. very well manored with obedience training.
A pit bull with high drive and loyalty to the family is a must.
Angel was born in May of 1996 and still shows the younger pits what it takes to be a Pure- American Pit Bull Terrier.
She lives in a home with four other Registered pitt/staff mixes and Victorino's Crusher
She has no time for the blue dogs in the yard she has to be the Top dog.
She leave a little room at the top for Victorino's Crusher, only because he is a pure American Pit Bull Terrier too.
Victorino's Angel of Thunder is a work horse!
She will fetch until you are too tired to throw anymore.
Leaving the ball at your feet for more and as gentle as any breed of dog.
Angel loves to play tug with a cotton tied sheet that hangs in the back yard.
Some would say that this is a training tactic for fighting. Or that we are teaching her to lock her jaws.
Not every Pit Bull Owner fights their dogs we love our dogs.
Get real! The jaw bone dose not lock and there is no key!
I guess the lady that hangs by her teeth at the circus and spins for our enjoyment,
is really in training to bite someone or learning to lock her jaw.
Tugging and hanging is a canine trait and is seen in different breeds not just pit bulls.
My grandmothers Pekinese use to love to tug and would bring the toy to you so you would pull on it for her. Oh and yes hang as we lifted her into the air.
But if this was my grandmothers Pekinese hanging from a tug toy it would be cute!
100% American Pit Bull and loves children just another daily example we see every day it not the breed it is who owns our breed that gives them the bad rap.
Think about it ... use your own brain, stating it is the breed of dog that is bad ...
Is just like stating a specific race of people are worse then others.
It is wrong to think that way !
We have been with the American Pit Bull Terrier breed as long as I can remember.
Johnathen's grandparents have told story's of their APBT as catch dogs for wild bore in Hawaii.
My dad told me of the APBT's his grandfather had for farm dogs.
The American Pit Bull Terrier is a very versatile breed and should not be looked at as a fighting dog.
You'll never hear a story of a good deed this breed has done on the news
It is up to the breeders of every litter to chose ware their pups go! So make sure you chose your next owner well!
Victorino's Angel of Thunder was Obedience trained weight pulled and conformation by Edith Victorino from 1996 to 2000 before she ever started hanging from the tug in the back yard. To the general public a hang toy could look bad and we should never give the impression our dog will attack or that they don't mind commands!
Victorino's understand that and have always made sure our dogs are under control at all times.
You cant just teach a dog to do this and not have all other proper training commands well established.
It is very important for our breed to show they are as well trained as they are strong.
We as owners need to think about what is happening to our breed and think about how the general public see's our dogs.
Think about these things before you train your dog to hang from a toy.
Will your dog release on command and heal to your left side?
Will your dog grab the toy before your command is given?
Full control of the dog means the dog listens to your command the first time!
The general public views these dogs as a breed out of control, it's up to owners of the APBT's to change that!
There is not a breed out there in my opinion that is more impressive to look at then a well trained American Pit Bull Terrier! First time ... Example have you seen a police dog on a TV show like COPS be given the command to OUT
( to release, stop biting the suspect) as they are attacking a suspect on the ground. The person is down the dogs keeps attacking the officer has to keep repeating the command. The police dog is not responding to the command.
I personally think this dog is not trained well and needs more training before being assigned to a job of attacking.
In the heat of the moment is when you need the command to work! That's when you know you have total control.
In training it should be as important to OUT as it was to give the attack command.
Making Angel do another command like standing in a conformation stack makes her have to think about Edith's next command. Her feet stay like they are glued and she becomes bored but dose not move. In between jumps on the tug rope this helps her to rest and makes an ideal training lessen. There is so much happening in training here but Angel just thinks it is fun time with mom. As you can tell by the photos Angel is working hard she is tired. This dog is very anxious to get the rope but will remain in the stack until told to get the rope.
Edith told Angel to watch it and pointed to the rope!
That is not the command to jump up and get it.It means to just watch it and Angel knows the difference!
We moved Angel to different places in the yard that day and stacked her to get different shots but used the tug rope for the intense look on her face we needed and to get that all well known pit bull smile.
Yes, Pit Bulls Love to play TUG !
